Radio Teledyn is On The Wire
WARNING: Some tracks may not be suitable for some listeners...
RTFM operates with a micro-watt transmitter that can reach the kitchen from its place on my desk in the bedroom, although a few listeners can catch an hour or so from the IceCast. No warrantees expressed or implied.
RTFM is not a radio station. It is an art work, an audio environment and an autobiography. What you are hearing is meticulously random selections from sounds personally collected or recorded since digital music began. There is no weighting algorithm, no advertising. You might hear a school band, moments stolen from our live shows, vintage jazz or early electronic music, or sit through a rehearsal, a lecture on zen, or a chapter from an audio book on economics or classic literature, or endure three hours of finnegans wake. Welcome to my world.
John Cage observed how chance music shows all answers answer all questions. Radio Teledyn FM answers all moods.
RTFM runs on an old Raspberry Pi 3B+ using Raspbian 12 (Bookworm) Music Player Daemon (mpd) and uses Linux v4l2 drivers for the Logitech, Inc. B-LINK USB Audio FM dongle. An OggVorbis stream is also sent to the Raspberry Pi-5 using Apache2 and IceCast2 for this page.
The current track appears in the Ogg stream where players support it, and will eventually show on LastFM and on ListenBrainz. Be patient. It is just a little pi.
